Gateway classic cars of st. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully restored 1951 MG td midget. By far the most popular of the t-series midgets, the td offered a few more creature comforts of the earlier MG cars, but still gave a fairly minimalist version of a british sports car. Equipped with a 1,250 cc xpag 4 cylinder, the lightweight body and frame provide for an exhilarating experience. This particular example has just undergone an extensive frame-off restoration only 400 miles ago. The engine has been overhauled as well as nearly every other mechanical system. The wiring has been completely replaced, so there's no need to worry about historically unreliable electrical systems. The frame and body have been sand blasted and completely refinished. The body sports a classic coat of clipper blue which will set you apart in a crowd of british racing green MGs. In addition to a new coat of paint, the interior has been professionally reupholstered in a great tan color which complements the blue. Originality has been the main focus of restoration so you won't find incorrect stereos or modification. The dashboard is beautifully restored and features the infamous "low fuel" light rather than a gauge. The charm and character of these classic european roadsters is something that can really only be appreciated in person. This is a recently restored stock example of an MG td midget which will not disappoint. This car is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Located in our st. Louis showroom, this 1951 MG td can be seen including 50 hd pictures and video at . For additional information please call or email .
