Description: a lifelong italian example, this Alfa Romeo Giulia gt junior received a full restoration before being purchased by a dutch collector two years ago. Sporting a stunning giallo ochre exterior and black vinyl interior (the original combination according to the alfa archives), as well as its factory-spec 1300 engine, webers, and shortened five speed, the car is nothing short of a time capsule. Mechanically in top condition, the junior recently completed a perfect three-hour round trip journey to angelina's italian car show on staten island. The engine revs as every 1300 should, the ate disc brakes are confidence inspiring, and the car handles exceptionally well on its upgraded gta mag-style wheels (each in pristine, as-new condition). The five-speed gearbox has a smooth action with no crunching, though the shift gaiter design does cause the car to pop out of reverse on occasion. Oil pressure and engine temperature are spot on at all times as indicated by the beautiful veglia gauges. The body and paint have hardly aged at all since leaving the restoration shop, though there are a few minor flaws to note. Next to the driver door handle there's a small stress crack in the paint, a common problem with the inset handle design on the 105 coupes. Underneath the front bumper there is also a small dent towards the left front wheel. Thanks to a pampered post-restoration lifestyle (and a heavy duty, color-coordinated underseal) the car is rust free, though there is a tiny spot of bubbling near the front corner of the passenger door, an area vulnerable to moisture that is nevertheless easy to work on if necessary. Everything is straight, shiny, and fresh, with very nice panel gaps and a spotless underside complete with factory style welds in the rockers. The car's chrome, especially the bumpers, presents very well. Inside, the car features the flat dash design as opposed to the later binnacle style. The wood veneer and dash tops are in great shape, and the black lacquer steering wheel is the correct two-spoke edition. Above, what looks to be the original headliner lends a warm patina, while fresh vinyl seats and correct rubber floor mats complete the look. There are very few signs of wear on the interior, a small scuff on the back seat and a slight seam separation near the gear lever being the extent of it. All electrics function well, including wipers, lights, heater blower, and horn. As it was in europe, the car does not currently have seatbelts installed, though the mounting points for front shoulder belts are present and ready to go. The odometer reads 59,946 kilometers, or 37,248 miles. Given that these cars only display five digits, the mileage could potentially exceed its mechanical limits. Also included are the gorgeous dutch historic plates, including two different front sizes. This vehicle has already been imported and is available immediately with a transferrable registration in hand. All vehicle sales subject to mid-century motoring's purchase agreement.
