Description: stk. 1941 1975 Pontiac Trans Am the Pontiac firebird was first launched in 1967 along side of the chevrolet camaro. In 1969, the final production year for the first generation firebird or f-body, a $725 optional handling package called the "Trans Am performance and appearance package," named after the Trans Am series, was introduced and really launched Pontiac into the muscle car fray. 1970 through 1981 ushered in the second generation firebird with many significant changes to its previous coke bottle styling, including that of the shapely looks of our 1975 Pontiac firebird Trans Am you see here in buccaneer red (75) over black deluxe vinyl (19w). As appealing now and it was then is that flamboyant Trans Am bird in black and orange along with distinctive Trans Am callouts displayed prominently on the nose, front fenders and rear spoiler that lets you know this is no ordinary firebird. The same held true for its honeycomb wheels unmistakable shaker' hood scoop that is so unique to the breed. Lurking below this scoop lays a 400 cubic-inch l78 v-8 that makes 185 horsepower, 310 lb feet of torque and drives a three-speed turbohydramatic transmission and limited-slip posi rear end. Inside, its all Trans Am with its legendary machine turned dashboard, full instrumentation, a full length console and deep, high-back bucket seats. It features factory air along with power brakes, steering and windows, tilt-steering and an am/fm/cd stereo system. For its day, the Trans Am was an impressive road carving machine with its capable four-wheel disc brakes, front and rear sway bars and wide, road-hugging rubber. This t/a is ready to reintroduce you to all the reasons that made these cars so much fun to own and drive. Call or visit our website at for more information. All vehicles sold "as is" price: $22,995 |
